Newlyweds Offer Peace to Space Weaponeers

Max T. Rivers, 26.09.2009

As part of their wedding and honeymoon, Chelsea & Marcus Unicorn-Pegasus are holding several peace and prayer-vigils throughout California this week. Aware of the many corporate offenders breaking international laws throughout the West, the newlyweds are inviting local communities to join their upcoming Trinity Nuclear Abolitionist peace vigils.

Trinity Nuclear Abolitionists from New Mexico will hold a demonstration of peace at Lockheed-Martin in Sunnyvale, California at noon on Monday October 5th. The New Mexican abolitionists have been working for peace through dialog and prayer-actions since 2007, primarily at nuclear weapons sites in New Mexico and Nevada. The first week of October is "International Keep Space For Peace Week". Lockheed-Martin has helped produce and launch communication technology that the U.S. Air Force uses to kill people through flying drone aircraft in the Middle-East.
Leading up to the October 5th prayer-action at Sunnyvale, two key organizers with Trinity Nuclear Abolitionists (TNA) have been holding vigils at other locations in California for the past week. These activities are being held as final preparations for the wedding vows of Chelsea Collonge and Marcus Page. They'll be married on Saint Francis' Day (October 4th) in Berkeley, changing their names to Chelsea Unicorn and & Marcus Pegasus. Local coordinators of the October 5th peace vigil and prayer-action expect 3 dozen participants at Lockheed-Martin, including peace activists, the wedding party, and employees of Lockheed-Martin joining the dialog when they receive fliers.
Most of the monthly vigils at Lockheed-Martin don't include employees of Lockheed-Martin. "That's what makes October 5th special," says Marcus Page, "we'll be offering the whole afternoon and evening to employees who wish to take a break from the business of outer space domination and talk about their potential for nonviolence."
