Every spring Canadian hunters migrate north to the breaking ice flows to conduct "seal hunts". The name is very deceiving as what they are really doing is slaughtering seal pups for their furs. The means is very grusome and inhumane. The seal pups are very trusting and at best very slow on the ice so the hunters easily walk up to them and begin to club them to death with basebats. The Canadian Government claims it is necessary for their economy and that very few seals are killed. You should visit this site http://www.protectseals.org/ and judge for yourself.
